Our story…
Before there was a farmer Halverson, there was a computer engineer. He was fat, miserable, and likely on his way to an early grave. In the fall of 2011 he discovered the healing power of eating whole, unprocessed plant and animal foods. With this knowledge he eliminated his chronic headaches, acid reflux, and greasy skin. He found he could breathe while tying his shoes again to boot. Following this new lifestyle he discovered his calling to produce wholesome nutritious meat for his family and community. In the spring of 2022 the farm was purchased and a decade long dream to start a family farm was realized.
Our mission…
is to provide premium animal products for the nourishment of ourselves and our customers. We commit to never use any vaccines or routine antibiotics on our livestock. We further commit to never administer any chemical fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides on our farm. We will do our best to glorify God’s creation rather than abusing and perverting it like our industrial counterparts. To that aim we will respect and acknowledge that our animals are living creatures and not simply commodities to be exploited. We recognize they have needs beyond just food and water. While they’re with us we will help them self-actualize(as much as an animal can) by allowing them to be our partners on the farm and letting them do what comes naturally. Our chickens will get to be chickens. Our pigs will get to be pigs… you get the idea. The result of managing our farm this way, we hope you will agree, leads to some of best meat you’ve ever tasted.
